• SUPERBLY EFFECTIVE – students intuitively “get” collaborating online – that’s good because inevitably it is and will be part of how they live and work. Compared to conventional “in the same room” tutoring, students may be more relaxed when meeting online – tutors who have moved to online tutoring exclusively often give this as their main reason, or even their only reason, for switching. Sessions can be recorded (video and audio), allowing the student to go over problematic areas again after the session. The student can take snapshots of written explanations, worksheets, diagrams, etc. And it’s simple to call up items we may have worked on some weeks back. Using the staggering array of online resources is extremely easy, whether it be a screen share to use a valuable online tool (for fun, check this out) or to go to a teacher’s Blackboard pages to review class-specific materials. Flexible, too – it’s easy to meet impromptu online for 5 or 10 minutes to nail down that last confusing point (often this can be done right on the student’s smartphone). It’s also easy to meet at unusual times – e.g., early morning – which can be a great way to reduce schedule pressure.

  • SAVES TIME – no travel time! A one-hour session actually takes an hour, not an hour and a half (or more).

Did you know?

Telemedicine, analogous to tutoring online, is used even with some very serious cases (check this out). If online is good for saving lives, maybe it is good for saving Susie’s SAT score!

Our full-featured, premier tutoring capability:

Most tutoring online essentially consists of using a shared whiteboard. We have much more. Our hybrid platform flexibly supports a broad range of tutoring modes that allow the student and the tutor to work very naturally, even using pencil and paper just like “in person” tutoring. We have yet to see another online tutoring service that incorporates all the elements we have in place. We constantly review technical advancements to find ways to enhance our service.
