Students usually have very busy lives. Finding a time slot that both the student and the tutor can make is sometimes quite difficult. Maintaining a set time from week to week may be even more difficult. In addition, for many students, fatigue is a factor; by the time they get to their tutoring appointment, they may struggle to maintain attention and to bring their “best stuff.” The result all-too-often is an unproductive meeting. Expensive, and frustrating for all.

One possible solution is to set up early morning sessions – before school. With online tutoring, a session can easily be conducted at, say, 6:30am. No dealing with athletic practice, saxophone lessons, doctor’s appointments, and so on, not to mention the constant hassle of rescheduling. Usually the same time can be reserved each week. And fatigue will not have taken hold first thing in the day, optimizing the chance for an effective session.

Other non-conventional times – e.g., Sunday mornings at 8am – may be similarly attractive.
