Online tutoring offers advantages so compelling that we sometimes online tutor students who live just a mile or two away, right here in Duxbury. Why?
Video/audio recording of tutoring sessions. Did your student forget the specifics of that nifty explanation the tutor provided yesterday (or even weeks ago)? Go to the video and review as often as necessary, even on a smartphone.
Easy off-hours scheduling. Everyone is busy! Carving out meeting times in the afternoon or evening can be brutally difficult. Off-hours slots would reduce scheduling conflicts, but neither the student’s family nor the tutor’s is all that eager to have someone come over at 7 am (or 9 pm). And the library is closed at times like that. What to do? Meet off-hours online!
No driving time. Save precious minutes for everyone. It adds up.

How to get going? Of course, you’ll need a computer and a good internet connection. For $118, we’ll set up you with the necessary devices and make sure your student can use them. If you return the kit in good working order when our engagement is over, you get back $100, and you get free troubleshooting and replacement during the term of your tutoring engagement. For in-town set-up, we can usually get you going the same day or next day (more distant: we’ll first send you the set-up kit by 2-day shipping; international: we’ll work out the details with you).
